Rob focuses his practice on representing individuals who need help ensuring that their voice is heard in divorce and family law cases.  He works with clients to develop a comprehensive case strategy to allow them to stand-up for their rights in ways that may be difficult to do alone.  His individualized approach prevents clients from “falling through the cracks” during periods of perceived inactivity.

He graduated near the top of his class from the University of Iowa Law School, one of the nation’s top law schools.  After graduation, he worked in the litigation department of a large Minneapolis law firm and a respected personal injury practice.  He has previously served as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for children at risk for abuse or neglect in Hennepin County.  He was a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association Court Rules and Administration Committee and served as an Adjunct Professor at Minnesota School of Business.

He is the author of Protecting the Children: The Role of Court Appointed Guardians ad Litem in Juvenile and Family Court Proceedings, Hearsay, Fall 2007, at 11.

In February 2008, Mr. Gadtke argued the case of Beardsley v. Garcia (A06-922) before the Minnesota Supreme Court.

He is married and has two children.  When not working, Mr. Gadtke enjoys running, golfing, and spending time with his family.
