Earlier this week, I made a visit to one of my favorite coffee shops, Starbucks. While waiting for my coffee to finish brewing, one of the employees told me about a website the company had launched called MyStarbucksIdea.com. The website allows consumers to propose ideas on how to improve the Starbucks experience. “Revolutionary or simple” the website reads, “we want to hear it . . . We’re here, and we’re ready to make ideas happen.”
It got me thinking. What if divorce lawyers started asking their clients for ideas about how to make the process better, more tolerable? And what if we actually listened to your ideas? Would you be happier? Would your case be resolved more efficiently? Would you refer us more clients?
So let’s try it. Comment on my post and give us your ideas. (To comment on the post click on the title). I will try to respond to as many legitimate posts as possible. Please don’t post anything unprofessional. And remember, we can’t change the structural problems of divorce or family law – we have no control over your spouse’s behavior or the type of attorney they hire. But, we can control the way we approach your case and how we react to situations that upset you. Let the discussion begin.
